Abstract
Adsorpcija je proces u kojem se molekule iz plina ili otopine (adsorbanti) vežu na površinu krute tvari (adsorbensa). Vezanje se odvija na graničnoj površini koja odjeljuje dvije faze (krutinu i tekućinu ili krutinu i plin). Primjena adsorpcije je vrlo široka. U procesima prehrambene industrije ili kemijske industrije adsorpcija se primjenjuje za pročišćavanje voda, pročišćavanje zraka ili u analitičkoj kemiji za izolaciju i identifikaciju sastojaka smjese. Poznavanje samog procesa je ključno da bi proces bio uspješan. Cilj ovog rada bio je definirati proces adsorpcije, tipove adsorpcije, veze koje mogu nastati između adsorbensa i adsorbanta te pokazati načine primjene procesa adsorpcije. Osim toga, cilj je bio definirati pojedine adsorpcijske izoterme (Freundlichovu, Langmuirovu te Dubinin-Radshkevichevu).
Abstract (english)
The adsorption is a process in which molecules from the solution or gas bind to the surface of a solid. The bonding takes place at a boundary surface which separates two phases (solid and liquid or solid and gas). The adsorption application is very broad. In the food processing industry and in the chemical industry, adsorption is applied for the water and air purification and in the analytical chemistry for the isolation and identification of the components from a mixture. Knowing the process itself is important for making the process successful. The purpose of this work was to define the process of adsorption, types of adsorption, bonds that may occur between adsorbens and adsorbant, and to demonstrate the application of the adsorption process. In addition, the aim was to define certain adsorption isotherms (Freundlich, Langmuir, and Dubinin-Radshevich).
