Abstract
Sve veća potrošnja vode u urbanim područjima, rezultira nastajanjem otpadnih voda opterećenih različitim organskim i anorganskim onečišćenjima. Otpadne vode stoga je prije ispuštanja u okoliš potrebno pročistiti te se u tu svrhu često koriste biološke metode pročišćavanja pomoću mikroorganizama. Izgradnja konvencionalnih uređaja za biološku obradu otpadnih voda često je ekonomski neopravdana u slučaju manjih naselja i biljni uređaji u tom slučaju predstavljaju prirodnu alternativu konvencionalnim uređajima. Biljni uređaji su umjetno konstruirane močvare koje, na temelju prirodnih procesa, pročišćavaju otpadnu vodu koja kroz njih protječe. Karakterizira ih jednostavan rad, visoka učinkovitost pročišćavanja te relativno niski troškovi izgradnje i održavanja. U ovom radu dan je prikaz biljnih uređaja za pročišćavanje otpadnih voda.
Abstract (english)
Increased water consumption in urban areas leads to the generation of wastewaters loaded with various organic and inorganic pollutants. Therefore, the wastewaters need to be properly treated before discharge to the environment. Biological wastewater treatment methods are often employed for this purpose. The construction of conventional biological wastewater treatment plants for small agglomerations is often economically unjustified and, therefore, constructed wetlands are used as a natural alternative to conventional treatment plants. Constructed wetlands are artificially designed swamps that, due to natural processes, purify the wastewater flowing through them. Their main features are the simplicity of operation, high treatment efficiency and relatively low construction and maintenance costs. This study gives an overview of constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment.
