Abstract
Masa je osobina nekog tijela koja predstavlja mjeru inercije odnosno tromosti tijela a osnovna jedinica za mjerenje mase je kilogram (kg). Mjerenje mase široko je rasprostranjeno u različitim segmentima krenuvši od prirodnih i tehničkih znanosti pa sve do prehrambene tehnologije, biotehnologije i nutricionizma, a jedno od područja u kojima se svakodnevno primjenjuje je procjena stanja uhranjenosti ljudi. Cilj rada je dati pregled osnova mjerenja mase a potom predstaviti specifičnosti mjerenja tjelesne mase kao jednog od segmenata koji je svakodnevno u primjeni kako u svakodnevnom životu tako i u profesionalnoj primjeni u više struka. Predstavit će se različite izvedbe mjernih uređaja za kućnu i profesionalnu izvedbu s posebnim naglaskom na preciznost i točnost provedenog mjerenja u ovisnosti o njihovim tehničkim karakteristikama i pridržavanju propisanog protokola provedbe mjerenja.
Abstract (english)
Mass is a fundamental property of physical bodies which are comprised of matter, it is a measure of its inertia, and it is expressed in units of kilogram [kg]. Mass measurement has found its application in many segments of life encompassing all from natural and technical sciences up to food technology, biotechnology, and nutrition. One of the segments in which we recognise its application daily is body mass measurement with the purpose of determining nourishment status. The aim of this thesis is to give an overview of mass measurements and to point out specifics of body mass measurement which is one of the segments of mass measurements which has daily application in professional practice of different professions. Various instruments used in home and professional surroundings will be introduced. Differences in accuracy and precision of conducted measurement will be pointed out in dependence on the technical characteristics of selecinstrumentsment and protocols used for measurement.
