Abstract
Poznato je kako je atmosfera vrlo neprikladan medij za život mikroorganizama, jer oni u zraku niti rastu niti se razmnožavaju. Međutim, mikroorganizmi u zrak mogu dospjeti na različite načine. Primjerice, razna strujanja zraka mogu donijeti mnoštvo mikroorganizama u prostor. Ljudi svojim kapljičnim sekretima kihanjem, kašljanjem, pljuvanjem, pa čak i disanjem mogu znatno kontaminirati zračni prostor. Mikroorganizmi se u prostor mogu unijeti česticama prašine, odjećom, obućom i slično. Najviše prašine nastaje ljuštenjem i odbacivanjem ljudske kože, pa zajedno s njom u zrak dospijevaju i mikroorganizmi. Pogodna temperatura i vlažnost uvjetuju nakupljanje velikog broja mikroorganizama kako u krutim i tekućim medijima tako i u zraku. Stoga se u ovom radu nastojala usporediti brojnost bakterija i plijesni u zraku prostorija različitih veličina, u kojima dnevno boravi različit broj ljudi, a pod utjecajem pripadajuće dnevne temperature i relativne vlažnosti zraka. Mjerenja su provedena jednom mjesečno tijekom akademske godine 2014./2015. Utvrđene su značajne statističke razlike između pojedinih rezultata mjerenja.

It is known that the atmosphere is a very unsuitable medium for the life of microorganisms, because they neither grow nor reproduce in the air. However, they may enter the air in different ways. For example, various air currents can bring a multitude of microorganisms into the airspace. People can significantly contaminate the airspace by sneezing, coughing, spitting and even breathing, with their secretion droplets. Microorganisms can enter the airspace with dust particles, clothing, footwear etc. Most dust is generated by peeling and discarding of the human skin, so microorganisms enter the airspace along with it. Appropriate temperature and humidity of the medium cause accumulation of a large number of micro-organisms both on solid and liquid medium and in the air. Therefore, this study compared quantity of bacteria and molds in the air in differently sized rooms, daily populated by different number of people, all under the influence of an associated daily temperature and relative humidity. The measurements were carried out once a month during the academic year 2014./2015. Significant statistical differences were found between the individual measurement.
