Abstract
Kumarin (2H-kromen-2-on) i njegovi derivati predstavljaju najaktivniju grupu heterocikličkih organskih spojeva koji se mogu naći u biljkama, mikroorganizmima i životinjama, te posjeduju i širok spektar biološke aktivnosti. Prirodni i sintetski kumarini posjeduju antibakterijska, antikoagulacijska, antimikrobna, fungicidna i dr. djelovanja. U ovom diplomskom radu provedena je sinteza nekih heterocikličkih spojeva s kumarinskom jezgrom. (7-hidroksi-2-okso-2H-kromen-4-il) octena kiselina sintetizirana je iz limunske kiseline i rezorcinola u prisutnosti koncentrirane sumporne kiseline. Reakcijom hidrazin hidrata s derivatima karboksilnih kiselina nastaju hidrazidi karboksilnih kiselina, te je pronađeno da i hidrazidi na bazi kumarina imaju višestruku primjenu. Reakcija je praćena tankoslojnom kromatografijom, a nastali spojevi su pročišćeni prekristalizacijom i određene su im točke tališta. Struktura novosintetiziranih spojeva potvrđena je elementarnom mikroanalizom, te 1H-NMR i IR spektrometrijom.

Coumarin (2H-chromene-2-ones) and his derivatives represent the most active group of heterocyclic organic compounds which can be found in plants, microorganisms and animals and have wide spectrum of biological activity. Natural and synthetic coumarins possess antibacterial, anticoagulant, antimicrobial, fungicidal and other activity. In this graduate work we performed synthesis of some heterocyclic compounds with coumarinic core. (7-hydroxy-2-oxo-2H-chromen-4-yl) acetic acid was synthesized from citric acid and resorcinol in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid. Reaction between hydrazine hydrate and carboxylic acid derivatives gave hydrazides carboxylic acids, with multiple applications. The reaction was followed with thin–layer chromatography, compounds were purified by recrystallization and melting points were measured. Structure of newly synthesized compounds is confirmed by elemental microanalysis and 1H-NMR and IR spectrometry.
