Abstract
Namirnicama se smatra sve što se upotrebljava za hranu i piće u prerađenom ili neprerađenom obliku. Različite namirnice ili prehrambeni proizvodi sadrže različite vrste minerala u različitim količinama. Minerali su potrebni za velik broj kemijskih reakcija u ljudskom tijelu, a deficit jednog ili više od njih može uzrokovati mnoge poremećaje i bolesti u tijelu. Najveći udio minerala nudi nam voće i povrće. Postoje i toksični minerali čiji udio u namirnicama ne smije prelaziti više od dopuštenog udjela jer mogu uzrokovati smetnje u ljudskom organizmu. Atomskom apsorpcijskom spektroskopijom možemo odrediti udio minerala u prehrambenim proizvodima. Grafitna tehnika se koristi za određivanje elemenata koji dolaze u jako malim koncentracijama (μg/l), dok elementi koji su više zastupljeni u namirnicama (mg/l) se određuju plamenom tehnikom.

Groceries are considered to be all sorts of feed and beverages used in processed or unprocessed form. Different groceries or foodstuff consist all kinds off minerals in various amounts.They are indispensable in numerous chemical reactions in human body, so the lack of these elements cause many disorders and diseases that can be avoided by mineral rich fruits and vegetables. There are also toxic minerals whih line shouldn't cross allowed maximum, in opposite they cause health disorders. Amount of minerals in groceries can be determinate by atomic absorption spectroscopy. Graphite tehnic has been used for determination of elements that are present in minor amounts (μg/l), while higher amounts (mg/l) are detemined by flame technics.
