Abstract
Cilj rada je utvrditi uzroke korozije i oštećenja konstrukcijskih materijala koji se koriste u tehnološkom postupku priprave vode za piće. Istraživani su uzroci oštećenja konstrukcijskih materijala uzrokovani korozijom kao i postupci zaštite istih te su razmotrena moguća poboljšanja primjenom alternativnih konstrukcijskih materijala i drugih tehnika zaštite od korozije. Voda u tehnološkom postupku prerade predstavlja korozivni medij kojemu je izložena industrijska oprema ili njezini dijelovi. Stoga su provedene analize uzoraka vode uzetih sa 9 mjesta koja su prepoznata kao kritične točke u tehnološkom postupku priprave vode za piće. U tim su uzorcima analizirani korozijski parametri poput sadržaja kisika, klorida, metala, pH vrijednost te broj kolonija željeznih bakterija kao potencijalnih uzročnika mikrobiološki inducirane korozije. Analize su pokazale da je upravo na mjestima doziranja kemikalija potrebno posvetiti posebnu pozornost primjeni odgovarajućeg, korozijski otpornog materijala kao i tehnike zaštite od korozije jer je na tim mjestima korozivnost vode izraženija, a oštećenja konstrukcijskih materijala uslijed njezinog djelovanja veća.

The aim of the work is to determine the causes of corrosion and damages to construction materials used in the technological process of tap water production. The causes of damages to construction materials induced by corrosion have been investigated as well as the protection procedures. Possible improvements have been considered, such as using alternative construction materials and different techniques of corrosion protection. In the technological process, water is the corrosive medium that effects industrial equipment. Thus, water samples taken form 9 critical points in the technological process of tap water production have been analysed. The corrosion parameters analysed in the samples were the oxygen content, chlorides, metals, pH values and the number of iron bacteria colonies that are potential causes of microbiologically induced corrosion. The analysis showed that special attention needs to be given to the use of appropriate material resistant to corrosion and appropriate technique for corrosion prevention, specifically at the places were chemicals are being dosed. At such places the corrosive effect of water is higher, and damages to construction materials, due to that effect, are heavier.
