Abstract
Aktivno pakiranje bazirano na sustavima hvatanja kisika je pakiranje koje sadrže adsorbere kisika - različite spojeve koji reagiraju s kisikom iz okoline. Adsorberi kisika mogu se nalaziti inkorporirani u samom ambalažnom materijalu ili se mogu nalaziti u vrećicama koje se stavljaju unutar pakiranje. Reagirajući s kisikom kontroliraju i održavaju određenu količinu kisika u pakiranju. Time ovakvo pakiranje produžuje vijek trajanja namirnice. Cilj ovog završnog rada bio je istražiti različite oblike sustava za hvatanje kisika te objasniti njihov način djelovanja i primjenu u očuvanju svježine hrane i smanjenju utjecaja kisika na njeno kvarenje.

Active packaging based on oxygen scavenging systems is a package which contains oxygen scavengers - different compounds and substances which react with surrounding oxygen. Oxygen scavengers can be incorporated in the package material itself or they can be in bags which are inserted inside of the package. By reacting with oxygen, they control or maintain specific oxygen level inside of the package, providing longer shelf life of the packaged food. The aim of this work was to study different types of oxygen scavenging systems, to explain their mechanism and usage in keeping food fresh and reducing deterioration caused by oxygen.
