Abstract
Dijabetes je metabolitički poremećaj koji se javlja kao posljedica genetske predispozicije i stečenih čimbenika tijekom života kao što su nezdrave prehrambene navike i fizička neaktivnost. Osnovno obilježje ove bolesti je hiperglikemija koja je u najvećem broju slučajeva, posljedica inzulinske rezistencije, stanja kada inzulin ne može ostvariti svoje unutarstanične učinke unatoč adekvatnom lučenju iz gušterače. Cilj ovog završnog rada je prikazati najvažnije do sada utvrđene produkte ekspresije gena vezane uz pojavu inzulinske rezistencije i dijabetesa.
Abstract (english)
Diabetes is metabolic disorder which occurs as a result of genetically predisposition and acquired factors through life like unhealthy diet and physical inactivity. The main characteristic of this illness is hyperglycaemia, which is in most of the cases, result of insulin resistance, and the condition when insulin cannot accomplish its intercellular effect despite its adequate secretion from pancreas. The main aim of this work is the presentation of so far known gene products connected to appearance of insulin resistance and diabetes.
