Abstract
Jestiva ambalaža je novija vrsta ambalaže koja se može konzumirati, a ujedno je i biorazgradiva. Za izradu jestive ambalaže upotrebljavaju se razni prirodni materijali biljnog i životinjskog porijekla. U jestivu ambalažu mogu se dodavati različiti dodaci koji joj dodatno poboljšavaju svojstva, kao što su spojevi s antimikrobnim djelovanjem, ali i polifenolni spojevi. Cilj ovog rada je definirati ambalažu i njene funkcije, jestivu ambalažu te jestivu ambalažu s dodanim polifenolnim ekstraktima. Osim toga, opisat će se dodatne funkcije koju jestiva ambalaža dobije dodatkom polifenolnih spojeva.
Abstract (english)
Edible packaging is a newer type of packaging that can be consumed and is also biodegradable. Various natural materials of plant and animal origin can be used to make edible packaging. In addition, various additives can be added to edible packaging to further improve its properties, such as compounds with antimicrobial activities, but also polyphenolic compounds. The aim of this paper is to define packaging and its functions, and to describe edible packaging and edible packaging with added polyphenolic extracts. In addition, the additional functions of edible packaging with polyphenolic compounds are described.
