Abstract
Općenito govoreći, voda na Zemlji je važan izvor jer bez nje život ne bi bio moguć. Štoviše, više od 70% Zemljine površine je prekriveno vodom. Ali, danas ljudska nepažnja postaje uzrok zagađenja mnogih rijeka, jezera i oceana. Glavni problem je kako pronaći pravi način za obradu odvodnih voda uključujući otpadne vode iz slivnika, zahoda i posebno otpadnih voda iz industrijskih procesa. Sukladno toj ideji, biljni uređaji za obradu otpadnih voda mogu poslužiti kao rješenje ovog problema. Biljni uređaji uključuju: biljne uređaje sa slobodnim vodnim licem i biljne uređaje s podpovršinskim tokom koji može biti u obliku horizontalnog podpovršinskog toka ili vertikalnog. Nadalje, pročišćavanje biljnim uređajima se odvija pomoću posebnih biljnih vrsta kao što su trska, rogoz ili perunika. U konačnici, ako ljudi izgrade i upotrijebe biljne uređaje na pravilan način, uspjet će smanjiti velik broj organskih i anorganskih onečišćivača u otpadnim vodama uključujući spojeve fosfora, dušika te suspendirane tvari.
Abstract (english)
Generally speaking, water on the Earth is essential resource because life on Earth would be non - existent without it. Moreover, water comprises over 70 % of the Earth´s surface. But, today several polluted rivers, lakes and oceans are induced by human inattention. The main problem is how to find the regular way for treatment of the sewage including waste water from sinks, toilets and especially waste water from industrial processes. In line with the concept, constructed wetlend for wastewater treatment can serve as the solution of that problem. Constructed wetland system includes: free water system and subsurface flow system which can be in a form of horizontal sub-surface flow or vertical. Next, purification in wetland system is performed by special plants such as reed, bull-rush or iris. Finally, if people construct and use wetland system regulary, they will succeed to reduce a huge number of many organic and inorganic pollutants in waste water including compounds of phosphorus and nitrogen or suspended solids.
