Abstract
Pravilna prehrana osigurava djetetu sve hranjive tvari potrebne za pravilan tjelesni rast i razvoj te utječe na usvajanje pravilnih prehrambenih navika čime igra značajnu ulogu u prevenciji kroničnih nezaraznih bolesti povezanih s hranom (gojaznost, dijabetes tipa II, hipertenzija, kardiovaskularne bolesti, rahitis i osteoporoza), jačanju imunološkog sustava, produženju životnog vijeka i podizanju životnog standarda. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je prikupiti podatke o prehrani dojenčadi i male djece dobi 6 – 24 mjeseca te njezinoj usklađenosti s prehrambenim smjernicama za promatranu dobnu skupinu. Istraživanje je provedeno putem prigodne on-line ankete kroz grupu koja se bavi poticanjem na pravilnu prehranu. Putem upitnika prikupljeni su podaci o dojenju, početku dohrane, izboru namirnica za dohranu te o tome na koji način majke dolaze do saznanja o prehrani. Rezultati su pokazali da isključivo dojenje sukladno smjernicama prakticira tek 39 % ispitanica. Većina majki (63 %) počinje s dohranom u dobi djeteta od 6 mjeseci. Djeci dobi iznad jedne godine ispitanice nude meso i ribu dva do tri puta tjedno (59 % i 64 % ispitanica), voće nekoliko puta dnevno (55 % ispitanica), povrće jednom dnevno (59 % ispitanica). Mlijeko i mliječne proizvode 73 % majki nudi jednom dnevno. Svukupno rezultati pokazuju pozitivan trend u promociji pravilne prehrane.
Abstract (english)
Balanced nutriton in childhood provides all nutrients needed for growth and development. It purports establishing healthy dietary habits and as such plays an important role in prevention of chronic noncommunicable diseases (such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, rickets and osteoporosis), strengthens imune system, rises life expectancy and socioeconomic status. The aim of this study was to get an insight into diet of infants and todlers of age between 6 months and two years and to compare their dietary habits with current guidelines. For data gathering on-line questionairre was used and collected data included breastfeeding, complementary feeding, food choices and information sources which mothers use. Results have shown that exclusive breastfeeding is paracticed for the first 6 months by just 39 % mothers. Most of mothers (63 %) introduces complementary feeding in the age of 6 months. One year olds are offered with meat and fish from two to three times a week by 59 % and 64 % mothers respectively, with fruits few times daily by 55 % of mothers, vegetables once a day by 59 % mothers. Milk and dairy most of mothers (73 %) offers once a day. All together, these results show a positive trend in dietary behaviour and healthy diet promotion.
